I grew up in a crafty household, learning embroidery, crewel, rug hooking, sewing, knitting and ceramic painting as a child. My love of fiber arts is still strong today.
After leaving a career in the corporate world to stay home with my kids, I saw an article in a home decor magazine in which the editors took old, inherited pieces of furniture and had them reupholstered in vibrant, modern fabrics. The transformations were spectacular!
The idea sparked the beginnings of my business. I started going to estate sales to find just the right pieces for our home, then took several upholstery classes at our local tech school. Soon people were calling about having their vintage pieces brought back to life. After doing custom work for a few years, I've branched into creating bespoke modern vintage furniture and limited edition runs of small pieces.
